About Possible Airdrop :

BASE is a new Chain and will have it’s own ecosystem. It’s a fork of Optimism L2 by Coinbase. Since Optimism gave good airdrop to it’s early users and is still giving airdrop, we think BASE will too. Also, BASE will have it’s token for sure. It’s still in testnet phase. We can explore the ecosystem and be early.

Adding The Network :

1. It’s added by default on Coinbase Wallet Extension. Go to Setting >> Network >> Testnet >> Base Gorli

2. To add the network in MetaMask, use the following information :

Network Name : Base Gorli

RPC Endpoint : https://goerli.base.org

Chain ID : 84531

Currency Symbol : ETH

Block Explorer : https://goerli.basescan.org/

Getting Faucet :

1. If you are using CoinBase Wallet, you can get the faucet in the extension itself :

Go to Settings >> Developer Setting >> Base Gorli >> Request Testnet ETH >> Done. It will take upto 5 minutes to get the faucet. Requests are limited to 24H in Coinbase Wallet.

2. Else, you can bridge your Gorli ETH to BASE ETH :

i. Go to https://bridge.base.org/deposit and click on Connect Wallet button.

ii. Enter the amount of Gorli ETH you would like to bridge and click on Deposit ETH button.

iii. Approve transaction in your wallet and your funds will be bridged to BASE ETH. You can check it under Transactions.

What to Do Currently?

There will be many projects in BASE L2 Ecosystem. Try to be early on them. We will be posting more about them in our telegram channel and you can DYOR too. So better not miss it.
