What is Buffer Finance ?

Buffer is a non-custodial on-chain peer-to-pool options trading protocol that works just like an Automated Market Maker (eg: PancakeSwap) where traders can create, buy and settle options against a liquidity pool without the need of a counterparty (option writer).

About Incentivized Testnet :

They released their incentivized testnet on 12th January 4:00 pm UTC and it will last till 20th January 4:00 pm UTC. Once the testnet concludes optimistically, Up/Down trading would be live on Mainnet on 21st January 2023. The testnet is live on Arbitrum Goerli testnet.

Steps to Complete The Testnet :

First of all, switch your wallet to Arbitrum Goerli network. If you don’t have that network, go to https://chainlist.org/chain/421613 and click on Add To MetaMask.

2. Next, head over to https://goerlifaucet.com/ and get some Goerli ETH.

3. Head over to https://bridge.arbitrum.io/?l2ChainId=421613 and bridge funds from Goerli to Arbitrum Goerli. It will take around 15 mins. for the bridging to get completed.

4. Go to https://testnet.buffer.finance/ and click on the Connect option given at top right corner. Select your wallet and approve transaction.

5. Head over to Faucet tab and click on Claim 500 USDC. Approve transaction in your MetaMask wallet.

Note : No more than 500 USDC can be claimed every 24 hours.

6. Choose an asset from the asset drop-down menu on the top left hand corner.

7. On the right corner, you can find many options. So, choose your time frame and trade size accordingly and click on Approve to approve your test USDC.

8. Choose a direction (Up or Down) and approve transaction in your wallet. Your position is opened. You’ll need to wait till the expiration time to receive the results.

9. You can check your opened positions below the graph in Active tab.
